"Bristol UK!" by Andy Council

We decided to commision a local artist with the creation of our logo for FOSS4G 2027.

Andy’s design is a map of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) made up of landmarks from Bristol, your FOSS4G 2027 host city.

Some of the landmarks included in the design are: Clifton Suspension Bridge, SS Great Britain, Cabot Tower, and Bristol Cathedral.

An old crane is also featured representing Bristol being a historic port city. The hot air ballons represent the famous Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.

The bright colours and lettering are a nod to the Bristol street art scene which Banksy emerged from.
